25 Sep Cocktails & Casas: Foose Road & The Smoked Paloma
In this fifth chapter of Cocktails & Casas, we head to the rugged hills of unincorporated Malibu, where Foose Road stands as a striking example of modern design born from resilience. This Woolsey Fire rebuild embraces clean, boxy architecture and soaring glass walls to frame the breathtaking Malibu views.
Foose Road is all about clarity and boldness. Double-height spaces create an airy sense of drama, while the minimalist detailing allows the surrounding landscape to be the star. Every line of the house is intentional, every view carefully framed — this is modern Malibu at its most refined.
Materials are honest and elemental, with steel, glass, and warm wood working together to create a home that feels both grounded and forward-looking. As light moves through the house during the day, the interiors shift and change, offering a living connection to the sky and hills.
🍹 The Smoked Paloma

To pair with Foose Road’s crisp geometry and fire-rebuild story, we’ve chosen the Smoked Paloma — a bright, citrus-forward cocktail with just enough smoke to bring depth and intrigue.
Why it works:
Like the house, the Smoked Paloma is refreshing and clean, but with a smoky note that nods to the story of rebirth. It’s modern, sophisticated, and perfect for sipping while taking in those panoramic views.
