The following spooky scenarios are only loosely based on actual events, people, and places…

One. The abandoned job site.

Where is everybody? There was supposed to be a meeting today… Right?!?

Two. The unqualified worker.

Who’s that? Oh, that’s your handyman… OK… He hangs pictures for you… Ok, but this is a huge project… Does he know how to work with concrete on hillsides???

Three. The plans cannot be found.

What do you mean you can’t find the plans?? What did they do… grow legs and walk away???

Four. Changes to the design.

Okay… so you wanted to eliminate that wall… that structural wall… that wall that is holding up the second level… hmmmmm…..

Five. Not following the specifications…

Where is the fireboard? What fireboard? You know the one you need under the wood siding… the one that gives the wall a 1-hour rating in this high fire hazard severity zone…
