New Beginnings: Material Baskets

New Beginnings: Material Baskets

Here we are in the new year trying to follow through on our New Year Resolution post and stay organized! Starting with our physical library, we have started filtering our materials and getting them in bins for easier access. Check out how we are doing! #followthrough

Here are some wood samples next to project bins! We modified a rolling file cart into a material cart!
You can just roll it on out, look how easy that was! I think we should get a few more of these carts now!
Stone shelves and metal basket too! Love our #scrapwood shelving by Farmhouse Custom Cabinetry!
Here are some metal finishes… could probably use some more…

Stone samples are packed together and easy to find. It’s nice having them in smaller bins since they can get pretty heavy. We spent a lot of time purging our stone samples to only keep what we love! We know we should never say never, but we were pretty sure we would never specify those bright orange colored stones…

Look how beautifully our fabrics and carpet samples are stored! An assortment of wicker, wire and vintage trunks help to keep things in their place.
This system makes it easy to pull out the bins and look through the materials!
HJH got these tags so we can label bins to make it even easier to know what is inside before pulling it out. Double organization!

We are trying to stick with it and keep up these resolutions! We are hopeful to get a VR headset in here so to check out our projects from the inside! Stay tuned and stay on track with your new year resolutions too!
