New Year, Same Sh*t, Better us? – Project Goals for 2024

New Year, Same Sh*t, Better us? – Project Goals for 2024

Here are our top 5 Project goals for 2024!

Number 1 – Get a Certificate of Occupancy for the Ridge House!

This project has traveled a long hard road, and it would be nice to get it across the finish line this year! We started working on this project in 2013… Can you believe it? 10 years (check out some older posts here)! We had planning issues, contractor issues, weather issues, and more contractor issues…

We are so close… Let’s get it DONE!

Number 2 – Have a drink at the completed Claremont Old Clubhouse Bar!

It was so exciting last year to see the transformation of the underutilized (storage catch-all) original clubhouse at the Claremont Club come back to life with a new bar and dining area. We can’t wait to complete those remaining punch list items and grab a cocktail!

We’ll have a martini, shaken, not stirred… 😉

Number 3 – Finally get the water service letter for Murphy Way!

Undeveloped land plus a client that wants to build a house with ocean views equals a water service letter… or a well. During our due diligence research, it looks like Murphy Way should get water service from a neighboring service provider, we just need a letter to complete our planning submittal package… if only we could actually get this letter… Please… Pretty please… We are coming up on a year of waiting… Will we finally get our letter by March 2024??

Number 4 – Agree about code interpretation for our Bayshore project!

Two stories, or two and a half stories, that is the question. With all the changes over at the city planning department (it seems like most jurisdictions are experiencing a lot of turnover and are understaffed…), the answers that we got at the beginning of this project (yes, you totally can do that…) have changed (no, you definitely cannot do that…) now that we submitted for our Coastal Development Permit … How frustrating!

Let’s hope with some research we can get back on the same page…

Number 5 – Photograph Claremont House Interiors!

The Dining Room looking towards the Sun Room.

Every time we go to our almost completed interior remodel at Claremont House, we seem to only take pictures of punch list items… which means we are missing the big picture and all that GEORGEOUS wallpaper! Let’s get this one photographed and not let too much time pass…
