Comstock Studio, Malibu California

This project is a commercial tenant improvement of a freestanding structure along Malibu’s Pacific Coast Highway, transforming it into a contemporary design studio for a landscape architecture firm. The space is reimagined to offer a blend of functionality and modern style, featuring open studio areas, private offices, presentation rooms, and incorporates a light exhibit by artist Robert Irwin. A striking metal barrel-vaulted ceiling spans the design studio space, adding industrial character and emphasizing the building’s architectural features. At the same time, ample windows maximize natural light to create an inspiring, collaborative environment.
