REVIT TIPS & TRICKS: ANNOTATING VIEWS ON SHEETS

Let’s be honest… annotating interior elevations can be cumbersome…

Here at Hayne, we are always looking for ways to efficiently and accurately complete our drawings, so in this video, we show a timelapse of annotating one of our Interior Elevation sheets for our Claremont Club Family Locker Room project in situ. One hour of annotating in under 4 minutes! Ah, the magic of video editing…

Annotating the elevations on the sheet saves time because you can see your view boundary and page layout. Nothing is worse than completing all of your annotations only to find out you have to completely rearrange the sheet and or reorganize your notes and tags!

We are also using tags (door, window, material, equipment, etc.) along with keynote text to quickly complete the annotations. This method is not only quick, but it also helps with quality control as all of the information referenced is in a single schedule or keynote file (no miscommunication here…). This means less chance of confusion during construction.
